Chaotic Sanity is all about finding sanity in the daily chaos that surrounds us. We must prioritize our sanity and happiness. A friend once told me, “There is never time; you have to take out time for yourself.” For him, this meant waking up an hour earlier and dedicating his weekends to his passions. It took me a while to realize the wisdom in his words: you have to create time for the things you enjoy and that make your sole happy. There is never enough time in the day to do everything you need to do.
We get so busy with mundane schedules that we don’t realize how exhausted we are. The answer isn’t always a vacation; sometimes, what we need is time for ourselves. I needed time for something I enjoyed doing, something that made me feel accomplished beyond cooking meals and keeping up with laundry.
As my bio mentions, I enjoy writing. Writing brings order to my life. Whether it’s a chore list, a lunch note, or a journal entry, words give me composure. Chaotic Sanity is a small portion of the things that give me a sense of accomplishment. I’m starting my seventh year of blogging, and I truly appreciate all of you who read and comment. I may not post regularly, but it’s refreshing to know there’s a forum waiting for me. Thousands of ideas come to mind, but there’s never enough time in the day to pursue them all.
Whether it’s a new blog story, a crafty project, or an outdoor adventure, everyone needs to find time for something that truly brings them happiness. There will always be a pile of dirty dishes or a list of errands, but everything becomes secondary when you’re not in the best of health. Both your physical and mental health need to complement each other for an overall happy you. Please share the activities you enjoy so our list of recreational activities gets longer!
