I’ve always loved creating mini artwork. There’s something magical about starting and finishing a piece in one sitting—it gives me that quick burst of joy, a sense of progress that keeps my creativity flowing. With hundreds of ideas buzzing in my mind at any given moment, working small lets me bring those ideas to life without getting stuck or overwhelmed. I get to create, admire the finished product, and then move confidently on to the next spark of inspiration.

I also found myself reaching for individual pieces of cardstock instead of my sketchbook. A sketchbook sometimes feels like a commitment—each page begging to be perfect, polished, intentional. But with loose cardstock, the pressure melts away. Each piece becomes its own tiny playground where I can experiment, explore, and enjoy the process without fear of “ruining” a page.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled into the world of ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals), and I was immediately hooked. Originally created as artists’ calling cards, ACEOs are now a fun, affordable way for anyone to own original artwork. They’re small, collectible, and packed with personality—like tiny galleries you can hold in your hand.

I’ve started posting my ACEOs on eBay, and the entire process has been surprisingly energizing. From brainstorming ideas to packing each card with care, I’m loving every moment of it. It feels like a new chapter in my creative journey—one that blends spontaneity, expression, and a little bit of joyful chaos.
