Executing my Goals

It is so liberating to take the first steps to execute a plan on paper into action.  Whether or not, I actually achieve the results I want to is not important, at least I can say I tried.  Nobody accomplishes anything sitting on the couch and entertaining the idea in their conversations. One has to try to put a draft into motion.  Only then they know if their plan is able to take off.

My lifelong dream is to publish my writing, even if it’s just one small piece.  My very first step towards the path was back in 2017 when I registered for a host name for a blog.  There have been several times where I thought I am not posting enough to keep Chaotic Sanity alive and whether I should close the account.  Nevertheless, it is satisfactory to know that there is a platform ready to host my stories.   Maybe someday, I will be consistent with my writing and increase the traffic.

Recently, I discovered that there are options other than blogging, some easier, to monetize writing pieces.  As exciting as it sounds, it would not pay for my child’s college tuition, or even a meal for our family of seven on any given day.  However, I am not going to let it discourage me.

In pursuit of some sense of individualism, I shared my ideas and surprisingly my husband supported the notion of opening an LLC.  I figured that an LLC will serve as another platform to house future creative ideas, legally, whether it is a book or a customized shirt. Who knows, maybe it will pay for a pair of socks or even a vacation, some day?

The important part is when I walked into the bank last week with the LLC documentation, and walked out with a business account, I can’t express how liberating it was.  There is something of your own and sky is the limit to how you want to utilize it.  Having a blog, a business plan, or separate bank account might not be something special for you. Maybe you already have an independent route for yourself, but for someone who gave up her financial and creative independence twenty years ago to take on stay-at-home-parenting, any step towards an individual path sounds wonderful … a place where you can pursue your dreams, hobbies, or even a business plan.
